You’ve helped women and men with powerful financial resources, tools, and information to incorporate into their business & life. What is the first thing someone should think about on the road to eliminating their debt?
Set a budget, start by listing all your sources of income. This may include your salary, rental income, and investment income. Or any other sources of money you receive. Next, list all your income expenses, including your debt payment, housing costs, utilities, transportation, groceries, and entertainment. Be sure to include all your debts in your budget, including credit card debt, student loans, and any other loans or lines of credit.

It’s essential to track your spending regularly to ensure you are sticking to your budget.

From following your retired and debt-free teachings, we’ve learned that 70% of people don’t retire without some form of debt. Why is this happening and what methods do you educate others on to prevent this?
This is happening because the average person does not plan for retirement. They do not put aside money for an emergency, they do not have any investments, and while working they overspend and do not make wise decisions with their finances. List all your debts and prioritize them based on interest rates, fees, and the total amount owed. Start by paying off the debt with the highest interest rate, as this will save you the most money in the long run. The debt with the highest interest rate should be your top priority, as this is the debt that will cost you the most money over time.
What vital information have you learned while navigating the financial literacy industry that you would like to share with our readers?
You must be disciplined and consistent. Stick to your plan and remain committed to paying off your debts.
This may require making sacrifices or cutting back on expenses, but it will ultimately help you achieve financial freedom and retire debt-free. You did not get in debt overnight and you will not get out overnight. Just stay the course and be determined.
